INVESTING IN CONGOLESE ENTREPRENEURS
The world’s deadliest WAR is coming to an end.
But ending a war is not the same as PEACE
PEACE REQUIRES PROGRESS: OF BUSINESS, EDUCATION, HEALTH AND CULTURE
PROGRESS REQUIRES ENTREPRENEURS: LOCAL, PASSIONATE AND LONG-TERM AND
ENTREPRENEURS NEED INVESTMENTS: FOCUSED, PATIENT AND SUPPORTIVE
OUR SOLUTION is to create a social development FUND to make ethical investments in Congolese entrepreneurs, combined with experienced MENTORSHIP from local and global experts.
OUR GOAL: grow the fund to 10 MUSD in 5 years.
We fund one PROJECT at a time, with the hope that every project becomes PROFITABLE so that it can support itself and pay back the investment. This allows us to fund new entrepreneurs through the success of their peers.
HERE ARE SOME PROJECTS TO DATE:
Christine is a hero. In her early 20′s she left her job and rallied her family to work with hundreds of the most vulnerable children in Congo.
Dr. Jo came home to warzone, where his talents were needed most. He built a hospital where he trains hundreds of doctors and serves hundreds of thousands of people.
From inside the warzone, Arnold works to make sure refugees are taken care of, abducted children are returned, women are protected, and the world has access to information that has been historically shrouded in secrecy.
In Bukavu, a city on the border with Rwanda and Burundi, Franck created FestBuk, an annual celebration to bring together citizens of the three countries and move past divisive tensions.
